Hp Proliant Ml350 G6 S Drivers For TheIm planning on putting a 500GB SATA SSD in it for the system drive and letting the SAS drive pool just be for durable data storage. Ive played around with it some and Im having lots of trouble because HP locks down all the hardware so hard. Hp Proliant Ml350 G6 S Windows 10 Pro AndIve tried to install Windows 10 Pro and Hyper-V 2019 on it unsuccessfully. I think the failure is just because the RAID drivers arent bundled in either install. Not sure though. Does anyone have experience with converting HP servers like this Ultimately I would like to be able to run it as a workstation (Windows 10 Pro) and have a couple VMs running on it as well. Between the 3 I have 200gb of ram and have about 8 different VM running on them. I do not have any issues with servers not wanting to install doing esxi first. You will need a 2nd physical system to remote in to the web gui to run everything but once installed Windows systems can be connected to via rdp. Doing it with vms you can get the most out of your system because you allocate ram and hard drive as your VM needs it level 2 Original Poster 1 point 6 months ago Thanks for the advice. I have another workstation and a WHS box on my home network too so thats not a problem. Continue this thread level 1 2 points 6 months ago level 1 Original Poster 1 point 6 months ago Well, progress. After full boot and updates I was only missing drivers for the ILO devices. ![]() I assume thats because W10Pro doesnt have that functionality. Not a big deal. I was able to turn on Hyper-V as well so Ill probably play around with it a bit this way. Fun:) level 1 Original Poster 1 point 6 months ago Now that I know I can install an OS on the server Im looking to configure it the way I want. I have a Samsung 1TB EVO SSD I want to install as the boot drive so I can make the entire RAID array just for data. Does anyone know if the ML350 G6 can boot from a SATA SSD Im seeing mixed results in my Google-fu. However, the stock install of ESXi couldnt see the P410i RAID array.
